Brief

Design and make a wooden mould for glassblowing to bring to Skruf Glassworks.

Inspiration

I seek inspiration from the origin of the material. To view the bottom of the ocean is a sight of movement and light.

A collection

The design is developed with the technique in mind. The collection of vessels are all made from the same mould. The different cutting heights and a reversable shape creates a family of glass.

Mould making

The mould is drawn in fusion360 and made in a CNC mill. The last steps of carving, drilling holes, burning the wood and assembly are made by hand.
